Release date: 7th October 2008
Medical News Today has increased the number of articles published on the site to over 200 per day and has launched
several new channels to accommodate the increase in articles and contribute to improving the content relevance and usability of the site.
In response to continued customer demand, Medical News Today's editorial team has increased the number of articles published per day and added six new new user-suggested
channels to allow even greater ease of use for our audience. The new disease/condition channels are:
- Back pain
- TB
- Heart disease
- Ovarian cancer
- Eczema/psoriasis
- Menopause
The new categories have been added to the full weekly newsletters - however subscribers who have a tailored newsletter or the daily newsalerts will need to update their preferences to
reflect the additional categories, if they would like the new sections included.
Medical News Today also recently launched a new customizable home page feature to allow users to quickly and easily access only the content of interest. The registration page, and
further information on the custimization options, can be found here.
Improved categorization and user experience
Christian Nordqvist, Editor and Founder said that the customization features and the increase in articles published will improve the user experience:
"Medical News Today continues to publish articles only from recognised and authoritative sources in a timely fashion. Our editorial policy remains unchanged and we publish less than half of the articles submitted and remain committed to delivering content in all areas of health and wellness.
The improved categorisation allows users to be even more specific and targeted in the content they choose to consume."
Ends.
