MediLexicon International Achieves Strong Growth Again in 2007-2008

MediLexicon International Limited is pleased to announce a trading profit of £386,800 for the financial year 1st April 2007 - 31st March 2008, before Director's remuneration -
a rise of 27% on the previous year.

Medical News Today
The number of visits in May 2008 soared to 2,890,905 - a 22% increase over the same month last year. Medical News Today's free access database now contains over 105,000 medical
news articles - with over 35,000 added in the last year!
The average number of news articles added per day has continued to increase:

The Medical News Today website has been redesigned (feedback about the changes can be read
here) in order to increase usability and visitor experience.
Changes include:
- A new navigation system, which has facilitated the use of the site.
- Thumbnail images added to the front page and main sub-section pages to improve the look of the site.
- A box at the side of each page showing the most popular articles from the last 7 days so that visitors can keep up-to-date with the popular articles from the last week.
- Marking of the most read articles (Popular) each day and the articles with the highest user ratings (Important) - making the "interesting" articles easier to locate on the
homepage and again aiming to increase the usability of the website.
- Advertising boxes added in place of the skyscrapers in the right bar - to improve the popularity of this position with advertisers.

MediLexicon
MediLexicon has also shown substantial growth, with May 2008's number of visits reaching over 411,000 - an increase of 20% on May 2007 figures and the number of page impressions
increasing by more than 50% for the same 2 months.
The MediLexicon website was redesigned with new features including:
- A new drug search, listing information on FDA approved prescription drugs.
- New search additions to the main search bar, including Wikipedia, Pubmed, Web and Medical News.
- Big improvements in the usability of the medical dictionaries.
- Advertising box size updates to the 300x250 ad size.
Hospitals Worldwide
Hospitals Worldwide has been updated to include maps for each hospital, an improved navigation system and listings for US states.
The US hospitals database has been updated to make the entries more accurate and comprehensive, with the option to 'search by state' also introduced.
